Jamie Ellis

Principal
Jamie began his
valuation career at Seagars in 2008 after graduating from Auckland
University with a Bachelor of Property / Commerce. He became a Registered Valuer in 2012 and
earned the Young Property Professional Award from the Property Institute of New
Zealand in that same year.
His experience
is grounded in the commercial sector including valuation and property
advisory work for both private and public clients. Jamie’s expertise is in specialised assets
such as development land, marinas, airports, ports, educational portfolios and leasehold
properties. These assignments have been
undertaken for a wide variety of purposes including mortgage lending, financial
reporting, acquisition / disposal, feasibility modelling, compensation, restructuring
and consultancy.
Prior
to re-joining Seagars in 2019 as a Principal, Jamie was a Director at CBRE for
several years where he led the Development Valuations team. In that role, he was focused upon residential
and commercial development land in both greenfield and brownfield areas throughout
Auckland and beyond. At CBRE, Jamie was
Valuer of the Year in 2016 and received the prestigious Circle of Excellence Award.
