Jamie Ellis

BCOM / BPROP, MPINZ
Director

Jamie began his valuation career with Seagars in 2008 after completing a conjoint Bachelor of Property and Commerce at the University of Auckland. He became a Registered Valuer in 2012 and, in the same year, received the Property Institute of New Zealand’s Young Property Professional Award in recognition of his early contributions to the profession.

With a strong grounding in the commercial property sector, Jamie specialises in complex and high-value asset classes including development land, marinas, airports, ports, educational portfolios, and leasehold interests. He has provided valuation and advisory services to a wide range of private, institutional, and public-sector clients across purposes such as mortgage lending, financial reporting, acquisition and disposal, feasibility modelling, compensation, restructuring, and general consultancy.

Prior to rejoining Seagars in 2019, Jamie was a Director at CBRE, where he led the Development Valuations team. In that role, he focused on large-scale residential and commercial development projects across both greenfield and brownfield sites in Auckland and beyond. During his tenure at CBRE, Jamie was recognised as Valuer of the Year in 2016 and received the Circle of Excellence Award for outstanding performance.

Jamie was appointed Director at Seagars in 2025, where he continues to lead complex valuation mandates and provide strategic guidance across the firm’s operations.
