Michael Clark was registered as a valuer in 1982, having completed the Diploma in Valuation at Auckland University in 1981. He was admitted as an Associate in 1984.
His professional experience commenced in 1975 with the valuation firm of Mahoney Young and Gamby, where he worked for four years. After a brief period at the Valuation Department, he commenced with C N Seagar and Associates in 1980, becoming a partner in Seagar & Partners in 1986. His specialist areas of valuation include primarily commercial work in the Auckland area, specialising in the valuation throughout New Zealand of special use properties such as service stations, hotels and motels. He has also had ongoing involvement in properties such as shopping centres, motor vehicle dealerships and supermarkets.
He is a Director of Seagar & Partners Limited and is a past Chairman of the Auckland Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers, gaining his Fellowship of the Institute in 1996. He is also a former Councillor on the New Zealand Institute of Valuers Council, and has more recently served as National Membership Convenor for the Property Institute of New Zealand. He is one of the resident Directors in the Botany office.
